Jacksonville and Tampa Among 15 Cities with Worst Drivers in Nation

Results from a recent study by Forbes showed Jacksonville and Tampa, Florida in the nation’s top 15 cities for the worst drivers. Across the nation, roughly 117 people in America die each day in a car accident, for an average of one car accident fatality every 12 minutes.

“A car accident might only last a few moments, but the financial aftermath can stick with you for years,” Insurance Analyst Jason Metz said. “The national average car insurance rate increase is 45% after an accident with property damage, and 47% for causing an accident that results in injuries.”

Forbes Advisor compared the 50 most populated cities across five key metrics.
