Poll: Most Rate Biden Unsuccessful on Economy, Don’t See Harris as Better

With the Democratic National Convention looming, Vice President Kamala Harris and her presidential campaign have cause for concern regarding recent poll results on the nation’s top issue.

Yesterday, as the stock market dropped by more than 1,000, Rasmussen Reports revealed that only 22% of voters they polled believe Harris would do a better job on the economy than President Joe Biden, who isn’t considered very successful on the issue.

A plurality of the voters polled, 38%, said they believe the US economy would be worse under Harris than Biden, and 33% believe they would be about the same. That’s not positive news for Harris, since only 45% of voters polled believe that Biden’s economic policies have been “Generally successful,” while Only 21% see them as “Very Successful.” Fifty-three percent consider Biden’s economic policies unsuccessful, including 40% who say Biden has been Very Unsuccessful on the economy.

Just over half of voters surveyed (51%) said that Harris’ opponent, former President Donald Trump’s economic policies would be better than Biden’s policies. Thirty-eight percent (38%) think Trump’s economic policies would be worse and just five percent (5%) consider Trump and Biden to be about the same in terms of their economic policies.
