Earlier today, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed two bills to combat illegal property squatters in the state.

- Senate Bill 322 streamlines the removal of unauthorized occupants from commercial properties.
- Senate Bill 606 strengthens hotel and motel owners’ rights against nonpaying or uncooperative guests.
“Florida is a great state to live, visit, and do business because we uphold the rule of law,” DeSantis said. “Scammers looking to game the system by unlawfully squatting on other people’s property will face consequences and be removed.”
