Democrat-Socialists Feel They Can Win in Florida

Far-left progressive outfit Our Revolution doesn’t mince words when talking about the Democratic Party.

The group says the Democratic Party isn’t doing enough to get candidates like Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon elected by defeating incumbent Republican Ashley Moody.

“The base demands more from Democratic leadership. Tensions are growing over whether Democratic leadership will follow where its voters are going. Democratic Senate nominee Angie Nixon said she sought support from Chuck Schumer and the DSCC but received no financial commitment. Now Bernie Sanders is stepping in.”

That was some of the comments from the latest press release from Our Revolution.

The group recently polled 1,500 members to ask what top issues candidates like Angie Nixon should push as they enter the final stretch of the 2026 midterms.

95% are confident the midterms could produce a massive progressive wave.

92% say Democrats should take on oligarchs and corruption if they win in November, the highest governing priority in the survey.

89% say they are scared that Trump and Republicans will try to rig the midterm election results.

88% believe the economy and high prices are motivating Democratic voters this cycle, followed by stopping Trump at 85%.

85% want Democrats to deliver Medicare for All, 84% want to abolish ICE, while 81% want action to pause AI and data center expansion, putting AI among the progressive base’s top concerns.

But when asked what Democrats should deliver if they win, 92% choose taking on oligarchs and corruption, the highest response of any governing priority tested.

75% said they plan to vote early, with another 8% still deciding between early voting and Election Day.
