AdventHealth announced its largest expansion to date: a $660 million, 14-story patient and surgical tower. This development is part of a broader $1 billion long-term investment aimed at enhancing healthcare services in Central Florida.
The new tower will include 24 operating rooms, endoscopy and imaging services, and 440 inpatient beds. Located south of King Street, the facility is designed with cutting-edge technology to meet the region’s growing healthcare demands. Construction is expected to be completed by 2030.
Rob Deininger, CEO of AdventHealth Orlando, emphasized the organization’s commitment to evolving alongside the community’s needs. He noted that the project, which has been planning for over a decade, reflects their dedication to providing advanced care for the next 20 to 30 years.
In addition to expanding patient capacity, the project aims to create hundreds of new jobs and enhance services across various specialties. The initiative also includes recruiting and training additional physicians, nurses, and clinical staff.
The architectural design is being managed by HuntonBrady, with Brasfield & Gorrie serving as the general contractor. This expansion highlights AdventHealth Orlando’s role as a leading healthcare provider, particularly in high-acuity areas such as organ transplants, cardiac surgery, and cancer treatment. The initiative is a strategic response to Central Florida’s rapid population growth, ensuring that the community’s healthcare infrastructure keeps pace with its needs.AdventHealth Orlando has unveiled plans for its most significant expansion to date: a $660 million, 14-story patient and surgical tower.
