Anti-Trump Republican Group Will Spend $50 Million Against the GOP Nominee

The No Labels Party said it would spend millions against Biden and Trump in the upcoming general election. Now, a new group called Republican Voters Against Trump has announced it will spend up to $50 million against the GOP candidate in this year’s election.

Republican operative Sarah Longwell is leading this campaign. She says they will target “Moderate Republican” and Republican-leaning voters in key states, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The ads will include videos of former Trump supporters who say they voted for Trump in 2020, but following what took place on January 6, 2021,” there is no choice, I’m voting for Biden,” said one testimonial.

According to the group, the $50 million will be spent on TV, billboards, radio, digital media, and other streaming platforms.

Longwell says the anti-Trump organization began in 2020 was one of the groups that helped get Biden elected. She believes that the same demographic will expand this year, deterring Trump from a possible win or another win.

As of now, the group will only air commercials from anti-Trump Republicans to reach out to more moderate GOP voters who are considering supporting the former president and his 2024 bid for the White House.

Longwell says whatever complaints voters have with Joe Biden don’t compare to what Trump will do. “Donald Trump is too dangerous and too unhinged to ever be president again,” the group said.

Some of these moderate Republicans have been described as Nikki Haley supporters, who have said they will not support Trump in 2024.
