Are There Iranian Terrorist ‘Sleeper Cells’ In Florida?

The FBI and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) has increased security alerts and issued bulletins of possible retaliation from Iran after last weekend’s U.S strike on nuclear sites inside the country.
From 2021-2024, during the Biden administration, Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents arrested at least 1500 Iranian nationals at the southern border and 729 were released into the U.S.

In April of last year, Florida Daily reported that during 2022-2023, the Biden administration allowed illegals from several countries to fly into Florida airports without notifying Gov. DeSantis’ office. The numbers reported show that during that period, 386,000 illegal immigrants were allowed to fly into U.S. airports, where the majority landed in Florida.

Florida turned out to be the top state where 326,000 of the illegals landed and were released.

“That alone should be a huge red flag, and there may be terrorists in the state right now,” says Jamie Copenhaver, security analyst for Fox News 35 out of Orlando.

To counter the possibility of a “sleeper cell” attack in the state, Coppenhaver said the Trump White House may want to suspend students from countries that have ties to terrorism from attending Florida Universities.

“If I were to investigate where some of the cells could be, I would monitor student protests and protests overall and see what flags are being carried around,” said Copenhaver.

U.S. Immigration officials just arrested 11 Iranian foreign nationals in eight states.

Law enforcement says one of those that were apprehended was a former member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite branch of Iran’s armed forces, which had connections to Iranian proxy groups like Hezbollah. Another individual who was arrested was an Iranian Army sniper from 2018 to 2021.

Gov. DeSantis’ office says they already have law enforcement in place to protect the state. Since the October 7th, 2023, attack on Israel, Gov. DeSantis said state and local agencies in Florida were notified along with the Florida National Guard.
