TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) has announced its endorsement of Republican candidate James Uthmeier in the race for Florida Attorney General, citing his record on consumer protection, public safety, and support for the state’s business climate.
In a statement released Tuesday, AIF President and CEO Brewster Bevis said the organization believes Uthmeier has demonstrated a commitment to defending free enterprise while ensuring Florida remains a safe place for businesses and workers.
“AIF is proud to endorse James Uthmeier for Florida Attorney General,” Bevis said. “During his time in office, he has demonstrated a clear commitment to protecting consumers, defending free enterprise, and ensuring Florida remains a safe place where businesses can grow and their employees can thrive. Uthmeier welcomed the endorsement, calling AIF a longstanding advocate for job creators and pro-business policies in the state.

Often referred to as “The Voice of Florida Business,” AIF has represented business interests before all three branches of Florida government since its founding in 1920. The voluntary association works to promote an economic environment conducive to the growth and development of industry, business, and the broader welfare of the state.
The endorsement adds to Uthmeier’s support among business-focused organizations as the campaign for attorney general continues.
