Brian Hodgers secured the Republican nomination in the special election for Florida’s State House District 32. According to the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections, Hodgers won by 309 votes, a margin of approximately two percentage points.
Hodgers, a businessman and conservative political figure, emphasized his campaign’s alignment with former President Donald Trump’s agenda in his victory remarks. He expressed gratitude to supporters and pledged to focus on affordability issues and conservative policies if elected to the legislature.
“I can’t wait to get to work for Brevard County families in our legislature,” Hodgers said. “This victory would not have been possible without the district’s dedication to our campaign.”
Hodgers also acknowledged his opponents, congratulating them for a competitive race and expressing hope for collaboration on key issues facing the district.
With the Republican nomination secured, Hodgers advances to the general election on June 10, against Democrat Juan Hinojosa.
