Americans for Prosperity is spending millions promoting the extension of the current Trump tax cuts which is set to expire this year if not reauthorized.
Americans for Prosperity-Florida (AFP-FL) recently held a Tax Day rally outside Congressman Jared Moskowitz’s (FL-23) Coral Springs office, calling for the renewal of key provisions in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). The rally was part of AFP’s nationwide campaign, Protect Prosperity, highlighting how extending President Trump’s TCJA can help ease the financial burden on families and businesses in Florida and around the nation.
All last week, AFP held 60 grassroots events in 30 states. In Florida, activists, local residents, and community leaders gathered to advocate for pro-growth tax policies that keep $3,505 in the pockets of hardworking Floridians, not government, in various locations including Coral Springs.
To put the pressure on Congressman Moskowitz, An LED billboard truck circulated across his district and two Postal Service locations, displaying messages urging the Congressman to support the TCJA and stop the looming tax hike nightmare.
“Tax Day is a reminder of just how much the government takes from Florida families. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act delivered meaningful relief – but unless Congress acts soon, those gains will disappear. Congressman Moskowitz has a choice: stand with working Floridians or allow tax hikes that hurt small businesses and slow economic growth. We’re encouraging him to choose prosperity. AFP-FL will continue engaging voters across the state to protect tax relief and promote policies that empower families, fuel small business growth, and build long-term economic opportunity,” said AFP-FL State Director, Skylar Zander.
