Democrats Hit Record Low According to New Poll

The latest poll by Quinnipiac University shows Democrats haven’t recovered from their 2024 loss.

Job approval for Democrats hit a record low. Only 21% of voters gave them a favorable response, with 68% disapproving. Republicans hit their highest approval number ever, with 40% supporting their job performance and 52% disapproving.

Democratic pollster Mark Penn says Democrats numbers have gotten worse since the election. “Frankly, the Democrat party is falling off a cliff on issues like immigration, economic policies, and some of the social policies. I have never seen anything like this. Their numbers have fallen way down,” said Penn.

Other issues that voters were asked about in the poll included:

GAZA: Should the U.S. take control of Gaza?

Only 22% said yes, 62% said no. 49% of Republicans supported it 32% said no. 94% of Democrats said no and so did 66% of Independents.

The Economy.

64% want President Trump to focus on inflation.

Tariffs.

51% oppose President Trump’s move on tariffs and believe it would damage the economy. 40% supported Trump’s plan on tariffs.

Checks and Balances.

38% of voters polled said the checks and balances between the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the federal government are working well, but 54% didn’t believe it was working well.

Elon Mush and (DOGE) Dept. of Government Efficiency.

The poll found that 55% of voters said Elon Musk has too much power when it comes to making decisions affecting the United States, and 36% said they were fine with what he was doing.

78% of GOP voters supported Musk looking to eliminate waste in the federal government. 16% said he had too much power.

It is not surprising that 96% of Democrats believe Elon Musk possesses excessive power. Additionally, 56% of Independents express the sentiment that Musk holds too much influence, while 33% indicate that they do not have any concerns regarding his actions.
