DeSantis Makes Appointments to School Boards in Nassau County, Baker County

Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Joseph Zimmerman to the School Board of Nassau County and Emil “Clayton” Lyons to the School Board of Baker County.

Joseph Zimmerman
Zimmerman, of Yulee, is the Owner of The Zimmerman Group, LLC. Active in his community, he serves as a member of the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce and previously served as a member of the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Advisory Board. Zimmerman earned his bachelor’s degree in global affairs from the University of Central Florida

Emil “Clayton” Lyons
Lyons, of Macclenny, is an Accountant and Auditor for Lyons and Lyons, CPA. Active in his community, he is the Co-Chair of the Swine in the Pines Show, a member of the Baker County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, and the recipient of the Honorary Chapter Degree from the Baker County High School Future Farmers of America Chapter in 2024. Lyons earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Florida.
