With Florida Republicans casting their presidential primary votes on March 17, a new poll shows President Donald Trump is in excellent shape against his primary rivals.
On Wednesday, Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) Business and Economics Polling Initiative (BEPI) released a poll showing Trump way ahead of his two main rivals.
Trump takes 80 percent of Florida Republicans with former U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh, R-Ill., in a distant second at 14 percent. Former Gov. Bill Weld, R-Mass., is even further back at only 5 percent.
Most Florida Republicans–78 percent of them–approve of Trump while only 17 percent disapprove of him.
The poll of 488 likely Florida Republican primary voters, part of a larger poll of 1,285 Florida voters, was taken from Jan. 9 through Jan. 12 and a had a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percent.
