FEMA Opens Disaster Recovery Centers as North Florida Recovers From Hurricane Idalia

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced on Wednesday that it has opened Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) in North Florida as the region recovers from Hurricane Idalia.

Madison County will be served at the DRC at the Career Resource Center, 705 East Base St. in Madison. The DRC will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m., seven days a week.

Hamilton County will be served at the DRC located at 1153 NW US Hwy 41 in Jasper. The DRC will be open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., seven days a week.

Lafayette County will be served at the DRC located at the Mayo Community Center, 150 NW Community Cir. in Mayo. The DRC will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week

Dixie County will be served at the DRC at the Dixie County Public Library, 16328 SE US-19, in Cross City. The DRC will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

Disaster recovery centers provide disaster survivors with information from Florida agencies, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Survivors can get help applying for federal assistance and disaster loans, update applications and learn about other resources available.
