Florida Congressman Steube Calls Out FEMA on House Floor for Discriminating Against Trump Supporters After Hurricanes

Florida Congressman Greg Steube took to the US House floor to condemn recent practices by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that included a hurricane recovery coordinator advising their team to skip houses that had pro-Trump yard signage.

Steube, who represents Florida’s 17th District on the Gulf Coast, said his property met the criteria for FEMA to bypass his house during post-hurricane recovery.

“That explains why FEMA has never stopped at my house over the six hurricanes we’ve had…I check 3 boxes!,” Steube said. “Trump supporter. White male. Cowboy. This is the exact type of weaponization that put President Trump back in the White House….thank God President Trump won, and he can restore this department into what it should be, nonpartisan, helping every American that’s been affected by a disaster.”
