Florida Congresswoman Luna Sends Criminal Referral for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison to DOJ

At a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday, Florida Congresswoman Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) told Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison that she has sent criminal referrals for them to US Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has referred Tim Walz and Keith Ellison to the U.S. Department of Justice for a potential criminal investigation.

According to Luna, the referral asks federal prosecutors to examine whether Walz and Ellison violated two provisions of the U.S. Code, including statutes related to conspiracy to defraud the United States and aiding and abetting federal offenses.

Luna said information presented to Congress raised what she described as “serious concerns regarding the administration of federally funded programs” overseen by the Minnesota governor’s office.

The Florida lawmaker also stated that the Department of Justice has confirmed it received the criminal referrals. The DOJ has not publicly indicated whether it will pursue an investigation.
