With Hurricane Dorian looming, the Florida Forest Service announced it will be closing campgrounds in state forests across the Sunshine State, starting at 1 pm on Friday.
“The safety of Florida’s residents and visitors is our top priority as Hurricane Dorian approaches our state,” said Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried. “Closing these campgrounds allows us to focus our Florida Forest Service resources on other mission-critical functions throughout the storm.”
