Florida House Passes Bill to Stop Cities and Counties from Accepting Other States’ ID Cards Made for Illegal Immigrants

The Florida House passed HB 1451, which prevents cities and counties from accepting IDs issued to illegal aliens. While Florida doesn’t produce such forms of ID, other states, including California and Connecticut give drivers licenses to “undocumented citizens.”

If Florida HB 1451 is signed into law, the bill’s language specifies that it would prohibit counties & municipalities, respectively, from “accepting certain ID cards or documents that are knowingly issued to individuals who are not lawfully present in United States as form of identification; provides exception.”

After the HB 1451 was passed by the house, the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Kiyan Michael (R) posted: “I am just getting started! American citizens deserve to be first in their own nation. What happens when the resources run out?”
