Florida Sheriffs Association Opposes Amendment to Eliminate Property Tax

With the future of Florida’s property tax set to be determined by Amendment 3 in this upcoming midterm election, the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) officially announced its opposition to the amendment on social media.

The statement reads:

The Florida Sheriffs Association is significantly concerned with Constitutional Amendment 3, which potentially allows Tallahassee to control your local budgets, creates longer law enforcement response times, limits communities’ abilities to provide road repairs and stormwater removal — these are a few of the things voters deserve to be aware of.

The FSA is a non-profit professional association of Florida’s 67 Sheriffs, 3,000 business leaders and over 100,000 private citizens.
