Following newly released evidence and a suspected name in a possible arson case in Fort Lauderdale, State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis announced that his arson investigation team is on the case.
Surveillance video showed what investigators described as an arson attack behind the Las Olas Chabad Jewish Center, last Saturday morning. The footage shows the suspect, Scott Hannaford lighting up a vehicle that belongs to Rabbi Chaim Slavaticki, as well as an air conditioning unit.
Hannaford refused to appear in court on Sunday.
