Florida Voting Guide for Upcoming Election Primaries

The incoming Trump administration has been choosing elected officials from Florida to serve in their cabinet, such as Senator Marco Rubio (R) for US Secretary of State and Republican Congressman Mike Waltz for National Security Adviser.

With these individuals going to D.C., an opportunity has opened up for candidates to fill these elected positions. Several special elections will be taking shape over the next several months, including the vacancy of former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz’s congressional seat.

For voters who are unsure of the candidates’ positions, groups like iVoterGuide are providing up-to-date information and ratings, helping voters determine the distinctions between candidates.

The organization is part of the American Family Association, (AFA Action) says their focus on candidate research is important for voters to replace individuals who share “our biblical values,” says iVoterGuide President Debbie Wuthnow.

“The chance to do that will come through special elections, which are usually decided by fewer than 10% of voters! iVoterGuide is tracking and covering these elections and stands ready to help voters remain vigilant so they can make the most of this special time in history.”

The voter guides on a federal level will involve the upcoming Florida special election primaries for U.S. House Districts 1 and 6.

Congressional District 1 was previously occupied by Matt Gaetz who resigned on November 13, 2024, after being nominated for attorney general of the United States. Congressional District 6 will become vacant as Michael Waltz takes his place as national security advisor. Both districts are generally considered Republican districts, so the primary election on January 28 will likely determine the next officeholder.

Besides candidate information, iVoterGuide will also offer election dates, links to voter registration sites, polling locations, and other information needed to help Floridians choose to vote wisely and identify candidates on the ballot who share their values. Related tools are also available to help family, neighbors, and business associates vote wisely. iVoterGuide.com is helping to restore the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and traditional American values.
