Florida’s Senators Back Tom Cotton’s Resolution Condemning Pro-Hamas Rhetoric

This week, Florida’s two U.S. senators–Republicans Marco Rubio and Rick Scott–threw their support behind U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton’s, R-Ark., resolution which condemns the slogan, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.”

According to Cotton’s office the resolution “also states that the slogan and its derivations are a call for the genocide of Jewish people and the destruction of the Jewish state.”

“People who invoke this disgraceful, antisemitic slogan are calling for the mass murder of Jews, whether they know it or not. On October 7, the world saw the genocidal intent of the phrase, ‘From the River to the Sea.’ No one who uses this phrase should escape condemnation,” said Cotton.

Rubio and Scott joined 15 other Republican senators in co-sponsoring the resolution.

Cotton’s resolution was sent to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
