Gainesville State Rep Works With Moving Company to Deliver Hurricane Ian Relief Supplies

At the end of last week, state Rep. Yvonne Hayes Hinson, D-Gainesville, announced that she partnered with Two Men and a Truck of Gainesville to deliver relief supplies to those affected by Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers.

The donated supplies were taken from Gainesville, Florida on Oct. 31 and delivered on Nov. 1 to the Quality Life Center of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers, Florida.

“I am so grateful for the success of my October supply drive for Hurricane Ian relief. With the help of my constituents, we were able to send a truck of supplies down to Fort Myers, FL to assist survivors. It has also been a tremendous blessing to receive help from Two Men and a Truck of Gainesville for the delivery. When good people come together, great work can be done,” she said.

“As Floridians, we are all too aware that rebuilding one’s life from a devastating hurricane can take months, if not years. We must continue to be committed to building a better Florida, together. Each and every one of us has an essential part to play in that effort,” Hinson added.
