Jacksonville, FL – Five members of a Jacksonville-based drug trafficking organization have pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, federal prosecutors announced.
Aaron Jarvis McGhee, 39, of Sumterville, along with Jacksonville residents Shikita Lashelle James, 38, Johnny Angelo Pack, 50, Natra Antonio Jones, 33, and Bobby Warren Harvey Jr., 28, admitted to roles in a multi-kilogram distribution conspiracy. Each faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison. Sentencing hearings for McGhee, James, Pack, and Harvey are scheduled for Dec. 11, 2025. A sentencing date for Jones has not been set.
According to court records, the group operated between 2022 and 2023, purchasing fentanyl and methamphetamine from Mexican suppliers and transporting the drugs through Houston, Texas, to Jacksonville. From prison, McGhee used a contraband cellphone to coordinate shipments. Pack retrieved the drugs in Texas and brought them to Florida, where James stored and distributed them to street-level dealers. Jones and Harvey acted as couriers, moving both narcotics and cash proceeds.
Investigators say the operation relied heavily on commercial flights between Jacksonville and Houston. In April 2023, DEA agents intercepted Jones and Harvey at Jacksonville International Airport and recovered more than $770,000 in cash and approximately five kilograms of fentanyl from their checked luggage.
Weeks later, in May 2023, agents executed search warrants at two homes linked to James. Authorities reported seizing nearly $853,000 in cash, over 11 kilograms of fentanyl, nearly 10 kilograms of methamphetamine, one kilogram of heroin, and nine loaded firearms.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. It is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kirwinn Mike and Elisibeth Adams.
