JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man has pleaded guilty to federal charges related to drug trafficking and firearms possession, U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced Tuesday.
Thomas Edgar Hall, 36, admitted to two counts of distributing fentanyl and two counts of possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and could serve up to life. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
According to court records, Hall sold fentanyl and crack cocaine to an undercover Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officer on six occasions between May and August 2024. Investigators said Hall was either armed or had quick access to a firearm during each of the transactions.
In September 2024, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at the location where the drug sales occurred. The search uncovered six firearms, various types of ammunition, and drug-related paraphernalia, including beakers, mirrors, razors, and blenders with drug residue. Officers also found crack cocaine and more than 60 grams of fentanyl.
The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brenna Falzetta.
It is part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) initiative, a nationwide effort aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through coordinated enforcement strategies and community engagement.
