Lindsay Tygart Starts Strong in First Coast Judicial Race

With no other candidates in the race, Lindsay Tygart, who is running for a judicial post in the Fourth Judicial Circuit, which covers Clay, Duval and Nassau Counties, is off to a strong head start.

Since entering the race in May, she has raised $157,275 and threw in an addition $100,000 of her own funds. Tygart has also reeled in the support of Duval County Sheriff Mike Williams, Nassau County Tax Collector John Drew and Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook.

“Ms. Tygart is trusted by professionals who count on fair and impartial courts,” said Williams.

A longtime resident of the First Coast, whose father worked in law in Jacksonville for more than a half a century, Tygart leads Coker Law’s medical malpractice division.

Tygart is seeking an open seat which is currently held by retiring Circuit Judge Jack Schemer.
