Mexico Using App to Warn Illegal Immigrants in Florida Who Could Be Deported

By Ed Dean

Now that President Trump is in office, Mexico says their deportation alert network is ready to go, and they plan to use it when it comes to warning illegals living inside the U.S. to be aware of possible deportations from border agents.

The app, ConsulApp, is also known as the “Alert Button,” and according to Mexican officials, the phone app will notify illegal immigrants and members of their families if Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) is in the area. Government officials from Mexico say their plans are to ensure that each Mexican citizen is given due process in the U.S. before being potentially ejected from the country.

When cell phone users press the app, it will immediately send out alerts. The Mexican government explains it like a panic button.

“In case you find yourself in a situation where detention is imminent, you push the alert button and that sends a signal to the nearest consulate,” said Mexican foreign affairs secretary Juan Ramón de la Fuente.

House Republicans were miffed after hearing this news and adding more complications to Trump’s plan of deportations, Mexican officials said the government has also put in place 24-hour call centers to safeguard illegal from being rounded up and arrested.

The Mexican government will defend the human rights of its citizens in the U.S. in strict compliance with international law,” said De la Fuente

Following this move from Mexico, the Trump Administration has announced they will deploy the U.S. military to the southern border to end the immigration policies left behind by the Biden administration and governors such as Ron DeSantis have said they will aid border agents with the help from state law enforcement or the Florida National Guard to assist with deportations that will begin happen with the new Trump administration.
