Miami Marlins to Add Entertainment Center Privately Financed by Developer

On Tuesday morning, the Miami Marlins announced a partnership with The Cordish Companies to launch Miami Live!, a new entertainment and dining venue in the Magic City, set to open in early 2026.

Marlins chairman Bruce Sherman stated that Miami Live! will transform the West Plaza into a communal space that offers dining, entertainment, and engagement opportunities for the community. He expressed excitement about partnering with The Cordish Companies, known for their success in urban revitalization and community impact.

The project will include indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment spaces, generating year-round activities for all ages and creating jobs in various sectors. This privately financed initiative reinforces the Marlins’ commitment to South Florida and aims to enhance the neighborhood’s quality of life with sustainable and inclusive design features.

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins praised the project as a valuable addition to Little Havana, providing a space for residents and visitors to enjoy. County Commission Chairman Anthony Rodriguez noted that Miami Live! will offer another entertainment option for local residents and tourists, whether attending a game or exploring the area.

LoanDepot Park has recently hosted major events, such as the World Baseball Classic, and will also host the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic. Miami Live! will feature open spaces for year-round programming and will enhance the community experience with postgame concerts on Legacy Saturdays.
