More Conservatives Come Out Backing Gov. DeSantis On Immigration Bill

People choosing sides between the battle of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Republican legislature over immigration has picked up over the last couple of weeks.

Conservative talk radio hosts have sided with team DeSantis on day one. Syndicated Conservative Radio Host Dana Loesch unloaded on Republican lawmakers not backing the governor.

“Florida’s amnesty RINO traitors are working hard to sideline any and all Republicans who wanted to actually deport people who entered the country illegally. These traitors don’t work for voters,” said Loesch and posted on X, “The amnesty traitors are mad because DeSantis’s leadership proves a stark contrast to their RINO squishiness. He makes them look bad and they know it. Get mad, stay mad bitches.”

Another syndicated host, Mark Levin tore in Florida lawmakers opposing the Governor. “Republican RINOs in the Florida legislature, led by the hapless House speaker, watered down Governor DeSantis’s immigration enforcement bill intended to support President Trump’s deportation policy,” he posted on X.

Just recently, newly-appointed Florida U.S. Senator and former state Attorney General Ashley Moody came out and endorsed Gov. DeSantis’ immigration proposal.

“Because of the surge of serious felons released during the Biden administration, it is important that Florida must ensure participation by local and state law enforcement cooperating with the federal government, which is included in Governor DeSantis’ proposal,” Moody said.

“The governor is winning the PR battle on this issue” a GOP consultant told Florida Daily. New York Post writer and regular on Fox News Karol Markowicz echoes that sentiment.

“DeSantis is going to win this immigration showdown so now would be a good time for everyone to get off the sidelines and pretend they were on the right side all along,” she said.

DeSantis support and State Senator Blaise Ingoglia said a pollster confirmed to him that DeSantis’ immigration proposals are overwhelmingly popular with voters.
