The National Hispanic Energy Council (NHEC), founded to fill the void of Hispanic voices in energy advocacy in America announced that Carlos Aldazabal, Vice President of Energy Supply for Tampa Electric, has joined the NHEC’s Board of Trustees.
“In our quest to advocate for energy policies that empower Hispanic communities, Carlos Aldazabal’s presence on our Board is a pivotal addition of vision and expertise that will greatly aid our efforts to voice the energy needs and aspirations of Hispanic Americans,” said NHEC Chairman Julio Fuentes, who is also president and CEO of the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “Carlos’s diverse experience in the energy sector, including his significant roles in regulatory affairs and storm protection, positions him as a key contributor to our mission.”
Aldazabal’s career at Tampa Electric, encompassing leadership positions in accounting, regulatory affairs, investor relations, and transmission engineering & operations, has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the energy industry. His recent tenure as the director of the Storm Protection Program and Support Services highlights his commitment to sustainable and resilient energy solutions.
“I am honored to join the NHEC Board of Trustees. My experience in the industry has provided me with a unique perspective on the energy challenges and opportunities facing our nation,” Aldazabal said. “I look forward to leveraging my insights to advocate for energy policies that support the growth and prosperity of the Hispanic community, which contributes trillions of dollars to America’s economy.”
Drawing on expertise from across the economy and Hispanic community, the NHEC works to fill a void in advocacy: a voice for energy policies that helps Hispanic families, businesses and entrepreneurs. The Council is building a bipartisan coalition of leaders of Hispanic groups across the country and exists to educate elected officials, policymakers and the Hispanic public on energy policy.
