New Poll Results Suggest Trump’s VP Choice May Not Matter to Voters

New poll results from Rassmussen Reports indicate that Donald Trump’s eventual choice for Vice Presidential candidate will not matter to the vast majority of voters.

Eighty percent say Trump’s choice of a vice-presidential running mate will not make much difference in whether they would vote for him. Only 14% say Trump’s VP pick would make a difference for them.

As for the field of potential partners on the ticket, U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina was the preferred choice of 16% of voters polled. Two Floridians were on the list, with U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Naples) getting six percent and Gov. Ron DeSantis getting 14%, which was tied for Vivek Ramaswamy as the 2nd-most popular overall choice. Nine percent favor South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and eight percent prefer former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.
