Passionate Care Services, LLC, a local non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities in West Palm Beach and Boca Raton has announced the launch of Blooom, a job training program
for adult students who have aged out of other vocational programs.
The new program is part of a partnership with Palm Beach Autism. Passionate Care Services has been seeking a strong adult vocational program for our community, as many have aged out of existing options,” says Michelle Scott, founder and CEO
of Passionate Care Services. “When the opportunity to launch Blooom was presented, I immediately supported it. Not only does the program promote health and environmental awareness, but it gives participants hands-on vocational training and real-world business experience, all while building responsibility, independence, and purpose.”

The program, initially launching at Passionate Services LLC’s Boca Raton location, will actively engage participants in growing, watering, cutting, and packaging produce as well as marketing and selling it. The initial trial runs with radish and broccoli have already been completed, and the program now includes microgreens. Funded by the state of Florida through Passionate Care LLC, initially, the greens will be sold through 1-2 hour shifts at community events. The center hopes to expand their reach and partner with local retail businesses as an on-site vendor to distribute and sell the greens as the program matures. There are plans to expand the program to the West Palm PCS branch, where initially they will be making and selling candles.
