Poll Shows Gov. DeSantis Top Choice for Trump VP Pick

The next big thing Republicans are looking forward to is who Trump will pick as his next Vice Presidential running mate.

A new poll by YouGov reveals who the top pick for Trump’s Vice Presidential pick should be, and it also shows which candidates he should not have on the ticket.

Among Republicans and right-leaning independents, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was their top choice, even though the Governor showed no interest in taking the spot.

YouGov polled 1,000 adults listed 15 potentials for Trumps running mate.

  • Ron DeSantis: 62%
  • Ted Cruz: 58%
  • Ben Carson: 57%
  • Vivek Ramaswamy: 52%
  • Tim Scott: 50%
  • Sarah Huckabee Sanders: 49%
  • Tucker Carlson: 46%
  • RFK Jr.: 44%
  • Kristi Noem: 37%

Nikki Haley: 35%

But the poll also asked voters who they would oppose becoming Trump’s VP pick.

At the top of the list was former Vice President Mike Pence, who had the highest disapproval rating of 54%. Nikki Haley was second, at 49%. Third was Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, followed by Robert Kennedy Jr.
