Port St. Lucie Councilman Anthony Bonna Launches Bid for State House

Below is a press release from Port St. Lucie Councilman and Republican State Committeeman Anthony Bonna regarding the launch of his campaign for state representative in the Florida House of Representatives.

Port St. Lucie, FL – Conservative Republican Anthony Bonna has officially filed his candidacy for the Florida House of Representatives District 85, launching a campaign rooted in proven leadership and a commitment to President Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda.

The seat will be vacated by current Representative Toby Overdorf due to term limits. With over 100 contributions and nearly $100,000 raised to his political committee, Bonna enters the race with strong grassroots support and a record of delivering real results for his community.

“Florida is the greatest state in the nation because we are a shining example of bold, successful conservative governance, but we must continue working to protect our way of life,” Bonna said. “As a husband and father, I understand the challenges families face – rising costs, concerns about education, and the need for safety. I’m running to fight for our shared values and to ensure the Treasure Coast remains a place where families and businesses can thrive.”

“This campaign is about making sure we execute on President Trump’s America First agenda here in Florida. The next step in my mission to make a difference for our community is serving in our state’s People’s House,” Bonna continued. “President Trump and Governor DeSantis need strong conservative voices who won’t back down from doing what’s necessary to keep our state and nation great. Together, we can put Floridians first by addressing the insurance crisis, making Florida safer and more affordable for families and seniors, securing our border to combat illegal immigration, and lowering taxes to strengthen our economy,” Bonna concluded.
