With less than 40 days until the 2026 Midterm Election, nearly two thirds of voters polled in the latest survey by Rasmussen Reports said that the country is on the right track.

According to the poll, 37% of voters in the survey said the nation is on the right track. The figure marks a five percent drop from this point last year.

The national telephone survey of 1,847 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports from September 20-24, 2026. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
