Rick Scott Endorsed for Second Term in the Senate by Seniors Group

This week the 60 Plus Association endorsed U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., for a second term.

“I appreciate the endorsement from 60 Plus Association. I am proud to work with such an important group that is working every day to advocate for our seniors. As governor and now as senator, I have been fighting to protect and preserve programs like Social Security and Medicare for seniors and I don’t intend on giving up. I’ve proposed legislation like my Protect Our Senior Act to safeguard these benefits and I will continue to do everything I can to take care of Florida’s seniors,” said Scott.

“Few fight the fight for seniors as Senator Rick Scott has. Seniors matter, seniors vote and deserve our support. Thank you, Senator Scott, for your willingness to fight to protect Social Security and Medicare,” said Jim Martin, the founder and chairman of 60 Plus Association.

“Senator Rick Scott’s work on behalf of America’s and Florida’s seniors exemplifies public service at its best. Seniors remain the most loyal voting block in America and Senator Scott deserves our support. Whenever we have needed Senator Scott, we have always been able to count on his help,” said Saul Anuzis, the president of 60 Association.

So far, no major candidate has emerged on the Democratic side to challenge Scott in 2024.
