Last week, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Maria Bosque-Blanco to the School Board of Miami-Dade County.
Bosque-Blanco was named to replace Lubby Navarro, who had been serving as the vice chairwoman of the school board. First elected in 2015, Navarro resigned so she would not be impacted by a new law ensuring elected officials are not registered lobbyists.
Based out of Miami, Bosque-Blanco is a guidance counselor at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. With more than 20 years of experience in psychology, she is a nationally certified school psychologist and is a member of the Southern and National Associations for College Admission Counseling.
Bosque-Blanco attended Miami Dade College and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in school psychology from Barry University.
