Ron DeSantis: State Continues to Partner With Publix to Offer COVID-19 Vaccines

DeSantis said that another 137 Publix pharmacies will offer vaccines in six counties with almost half of them–67–in Palm Beach County.

This week, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that Publix will host more COVID-19 vaccination sites across the Sunshine State.

DeSantis said that another 137 Publix pharmacies will offer vaccines in six counties with almost half of them–67–in Palm Beach County.

Besides Palm Beach County, 32 Publix pharmacies in Lee County will offer vaccines. So will 22 in Brevard County; seven in both Charlotte and Martin Counties; and two in Monroe County.

With these sites, there are now 242 Publix pharmacies offering vaccines in 18 counties across the Sunshine State.

DeSantis hit the road on Tuesday, showcasing Publix’s efforts in Cape Coral, Jupiter and Rockledge.

The governor continued to highlight the state’s partnership with Publix on Wednesday.

“We want every Florida senior to have an opportunity to get a vaccine, and by partnering with Publix the state is expanding access,” DeSantis noted on Wednesday.

Currently, Publix is offering vaccines by appointment only.
