At the end of last week, Gov. Ron DeSantis named state Rep. Mike La Rosa, R-St. Cloud, to the Public Service Commission (PSC).

Over the weekend, La Rosa weighed in on his new position.

“I want to thank Governor DeSantis for putting his trust in me to serve on the Public Sevice Commission. I am excited to put my experiences as a state representative and small business owner to work. My priority is to help our state form sensible regulations that ensure consistent and affordable delivery of services to Florida’s utility consumers,” La Rosa noted.

State CFO Jimmy Patronis praised the decision, tweeting at La Rosa that “you’ll do an amazing job” and insisting DeSantis “made an excellent pick!”

La Rosa was named to a four-year term on the PSC.
