Special Elections Coming Soon to Florida

With State Senator Randy Fine running for Congress and State Rep. Debbie Mayfield running for Fine’s seat, political maneuvering is taking place in Brevard County.

Business owner and talk radio insurance analyst Brian Hodgers announced that he has filed to run for State House District 32 in anticipation of a special election. Brian is a lifelong conservative, a real estate broker, and the owner of an insurance agency. On Wednesday afternoon, Republican Matt Susin, a member and former chair of the Brevard School Board, also filed to run for the House District 32 seat.

He and his wife Susan and their children reside in Melbourne. His wife Susan has been very active in getting Republicans elected in Brevard for many years.

“I’m incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to serve the Space Coast in the Florida House,” said candidate Brian Hodgers. “As a small business owner, I understand the importance of keeping government small, securing our border, lowering insurance costs, and protecting our waterways and quality of life. And I’m fully committed to supporting President Trump and his efforts to get our country back on the right path. Right now, the momentum behind the conservative movement is stronger than ever, and it is paramount that we capitalize on this opportunity to elect more pro-America leaders who will put the People first.”

On radio, Hodgers has been out front on the top issue of property insurance and the real reform that has happened and where it also could improve.

Hodgers added: “Thanks to Governor DeSantis and our strong conservative leadership in the Florida Legislature, we are proudly known as the Free State of Florida, but I know there is room for us to continue growing and improving. That’s why I’m running for this seat. If we work together, I know we can build on this good work and create an even stronger future for Brevard County and the rest of Florida.”
