Sprouts Farmers Market to Open 7 New Grocery Stores in Florida

Sprouts Farmers Market is expanding in Florida with plans to open seven new locations in 2025 and hire over 650 associates. According to a report in the Orlando Business Journal, Sprouts’ first of the seven new store will be in Melbourne, at Pineda Commons, which is set to open on March 14. This 23,479-square-foot store will feature a new layout while maintaining the company’s commitment to fresh, natural, and organic products.

Additionally, a new 23,000-square-foot location will open in Clermont at the Shoppes at Hammock Ridge. David McGlinchey, Sprouts’ Chief Strategy Officer, noted that the expansion aligns with the demand for healthy living in Central Florida.

Founded in 1943 and rebranded in 2012, Sprouts operates 47 stores in Florida, including six in metro Orlando. According to Justin Greider, senior vice president of JLL in Florida, grocery stores are currently the most popular anchors for new shopping centers, as they remain in demand despite challenges in retail development.
