Florida Daily has been reporting for months on the ill-fated and highly suspicious investigation by the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) of a Miami dental practice.
DFS gleefully announced the arrests of five office employees and even gave it the clever name, “Operation Tooth Fairy.” However, four successive prosecutorial offices declined to bring charges. The only unresolved issue now is if and when the Florida Board of Dentistry will clear the name of Dr. Howard Fetner, the highly regarded Jacksonville dentist whose name was dragged through the mud.
