Trace Systems Inc., headquartered in Tampa, has secured a $352 million contract to provide advanced communications technology for global U.S. Army operations.
The agreement supports the U.S. Army’s Project Manager Tactical Network Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) program—a critical system for transmitting and receiving battlefield data. VSAT technology plays a key role in enabling secure and reliable communications for deployed troops across the globe.
Trace Systems, which specializes in global defense communications, cloud-based services, and other technology solutions, will design, deploy, and maintain these systems to ensure operational readiness for military personnel.
“We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with the U.S. Army and PM Tactical Network,” said Greg Filak, vice president of communications solutions at Trace Systems, in a company statement. “Combined with our recent $21 million satellite terminal modernization award and the GAO’s recent decision in favor of Trace’s global FSR contract, the VSAT IV effort reflects our commitment … and ability to equip warfighters with innovative technology to drive mission success.”
Trace Systems maintains a global presence, with operations spanning North and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific region.
