Terrorists Behind Sri Lanka Attacks ‘Ungodly Creatures’

U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., a leading Republican on the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee and the top Republican on the U.S. House Asia and the Pacific Subcommittee, weighed in on Monday after the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka.

U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., a leading Republican on the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee and the top Republican on the U.S. House Asia and the Pacific Subcommittee, weighed in on Monday after the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka. Yoho said the following:

America stands in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka following the horrendous attacks that took place on Easter Sunday. My heartfelt prayers go out to the victims and their families affected by this act of pure evil.

The individuals who directed their cowardly assault on innocent civilians, in their places of worship and hotels, are ungodly creatures. The Bible teaches us to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Attacking people in their sanctuaries- particularly on a holy day- ignores this rule of basic respect for those around us. As we mourn the loss of these individuals, let us remember to love one another as we would love ourselves and come together as people.

On a day of peaceful celebration, we are reminded that radical extremism lurks in the shadows and is a threat to everyone, everywhere. We must remain vigilant in combating this omnipresent threat to humanity.
