The University of Florida has concluded its Title IX investigation into Todd Golden, the head coach of the men’s basketball team. According to a statement from Golden’s attorney, William Shepherd, the investigation found no evidence to support the allegations of sexual harassment and stalking that were made against Golden in a complaint filed on September 27.
“The University of Florida takes these matters seriously and works deliberately to ensure that due process is upheld for everyone,” UF spokesperson Steve Orlando said in a statement to The Alligator. “After a thorough investigation that included dozens of interviews over the past months, the University of Florida has found no evidence that Todd Golden violated Title IX. The Title IX office has closed its investigation.Throughout this process Coach Golden has demonstrated tremendous focus and professionalism, and we commend him for that,” a UAA spokesperson said. “As the Gators move forward, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting a championship experience with integrity.”
