What Does the Betting Industry Predict For Tuesday’s Election?

Almost $3 billion dollars has been wagered on the outcome of this year’s election.

Polymarket, an American financial exchange and the world’s largest prediction market, shows the odds of a Trump win at 66%.

Other books, including PredictIt, now give Harris a 52% chance of victory on Tuesday.

Who will control the U.S. Senate and the House?

The latest predictions by the betting markets project the Republican Party winning the U.S. Senate, but the House could go either way.

Those who trade on Polymarket are seeing shifts in the perception that the Senate and the House will be controlled by the Republicans. Among those betting, 83% said the Senate would be in GOP hands. But the outlook on the congressional side is much thinner.

Polymarket says their traders view who will control Congress as a coin flip. Last week, the betters saw the Democrats with a 50% chance of winning back the U.S. House.

How about the Republicans winning the presidency and controlling the House and Senate?

Polymarket believes a possible “trifecta” is in play. The group says there’s a 46% possibility of Trump winning the White House, House, and Senate, but a very low number for Democrats.

Only 15% of Traders believe a trifecta is possible for the Democrats. The White House and both Houses of Congress.
