Which Fast-Food Chains Do Floridians Crave Most?

Whether it was online ordering food or looking for specials, Florida residents chose McDonald’s over any other fast-food chain in the state.

Not just in Florida, but according to a study conducted by commercial manufacturer Restaurant Furniture, McDonald’s is the most popular fast-food chain nationally.

Florida’s most popular fast-food chain is McDonald’s, followed by Chick-fil-A and Starbucks. While McDonald’s holds the top spot, Florida’s love of chicken sandwiches keeps Chick-fil-A high on the list.

Chick-fil-A is the third most searched-for fast-food restaurant in America. There are seven states looking up this chain, most of which are Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Floridians picked Starbucks as their third favorite fast-food spot. But following that wasn’t another hamburger joint like Wendy’s or Burger King; instead, Floridians loved visiting pizza restaurants.

The survey showed Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns a top food choice for eating out or ordering. While Domino’s wasn’t the top choice for Florida residents, nationwide, it’s the second most popular fast-food restaurant.  Pizza Hut and Papa John’s were a close call for consumers. Pizza Hut came fifth and Papa John’s ranked sixth.

In 2024, the newspaper USA TODAY listed the 10 best fast-food chains.

Del Taco

KFC

Chick-fil-A

In-N-Out Burger

Hardee’s

Captain D’s

Taco Bell

Popeyes

Zaxby’s

Arby’s

McDonald’s is often regarded as the most popular fast-food chain, based on factors such as revenue, number of locations, and overall popularity. However, other chains like Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out Burger also consistently rank highly in customer satisfaction and popularity studies.
