A national outage of telecom services has impacted millions of Americans, and Florida officials are providing updates for emergency contacts. U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, (R-FL) posted on X earlier this morning: “I just reached out to @ATT to get an update on this concerning issue. Florida law enforcement is doing everything it can to keep people safe, and I expect AT&T to keep us informed on what it is doing to get 911 services fully back online ASAP.”
The cause of the outage has yet to be determined and carriers impacted include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Cricket and U.S. Cellular.
