With 2024 looming, Scott’s campaign team looked ahead to the new year.

“Senator Scott has traveled the state to hear from Floridians about how he can best make Washington work for Florida,” Scott’s campaign announced. “Senator Rick Scott has campaigned in nearly half of Florida’s 67 counties and has received nearly 100 endorsements ranging from Florida Sheriffs, the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association, industry groups, and former president Donald Trump. Next year, Senator Scott will continue his 67 Counties Sunshine Tour until he reaches every Florida county before election day.”

Scott is the favorite to win the Republican primary, though he faces some opposition including from businessman and attorney Keith Gross. Former U.S. Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, D-Fla., is the favorite for the Democratic nomination though former U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., and former state Rep. Brian Rush are also running.
