A new poll just released from the Florida Chamber of Commerce finds different views from Floridians and what they see as their top issues going into the November election.
Florida voters (47%-45%) believe the state is on the right track compared to how Floridians (60%-30%) view the direction of the rest of the country is going the wrong direction.

Florida’s Amendment 3 Legalizing Recreational Marijuana
The poll found only 59% support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Approval Numbers
Florida Gov. DeSantis’ job approval, 55% of Florida voters gave him a thumbs up.
On the 2024 Presidential race, Floridian’s support former President Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris by 7 points, 52%-45%. And with Florida Independents, Trump is beating Harris 53%-43%.
The Florida U.S. Senate race, incumbent Republican Senator Rick Scott leads his opponent, former Democratic congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell 51%-44%. With Independents, Scott leads by double digits 51%-40% and a bigger margin with older voters with 54%-41% over support Mucarsel-Powell.
Policies Enacted by the Biden-Harris Administration Continue to be Unpopular Among Floridians
Around 54% of Florida voters say the Biden-Harris administration economic policies have made America’s economy worse. 37% believe their policies have made it better.
(53%) of NPAs, half (50%) of Hispanics and more than half (56%) of older voters believe the Biden-Harris administration’s economic policies have had a negative impact on America’s economy.
ABOUT THIS POLL: The Florida Chamber of Commerce political poll was conducted on August 15-26, 2024, by Cherry Communications during live telephone interviews of likely voters and has a margin of error of +/- 4 percent. The sample size included 217 Democrats, 254 Republicans and 129 Others for a total of 600 respondents statewide.
